River elopement in Sequim
When B + H came to me wanting an elopement in Sequim because it was near and dear to them, I was so excited. See these two spent a good deal of time living out of their van (before ultimately getting an apartment together) in Sequim and it's their favorite little city. They came with a pretty tall order : Something in the forest but near some sort of water whether it be a stream or a lake or a bay. Somewhere close to Sequim. No more than 1 mile hike. Privacy is somewhat important. They didn't want to be in a super touristy busy area. And must allow their dog Xena. We spent several weeks searching together for the perfect spot until ultimately the couple had a friend that lived near the Dungeness Fish Hatchery. Behind the hatchery was a few trails that only the locals know about (it definitely wasn't on any hiking apps). It was the perfect spot that hit all the requirements...forest, water, private, less than a mile hike, and Xena could join them. The day started with a first look incorporating their van to remember their early van life together. After walking hand in hand to their forest ceremony location together and their touching ceremony full of tears, we spent a good hour walking around to get photos in different scenery. The plan all along was to end their couples session in the water too...so fun! Afterwards, the couple and their friends and family all met up at Nourish, a locally sourced and organic restaurant that served them a delicious dinner.
